Liz Adams

Director of Advising & Student Success

Having served nearly 30 years as an academic advisor at the University of Pittsburgh, Liz joined the Frederick Honors College advising team in October 2022. Liz began her higher education career advising political science majors, and then moved to the Dietrich School where she advised undeclared arts & sciences students. Liz subsequently joined the College of Business Administration (CBA), where she served for many years as the Director of CBA Advising.

Liz has watched both Pitt and the city of Pittsburgh evolve. As an undergraduate, Liz majored in political science and economics. As a graduate student in political science, Liz studied political economy. To this day, she remains fascinated by the interplay of politics and economics, and how both shape the lives of people - for better and for worse. Liz is excited to help Honors students each find their best experience at Pitt.

Liz lives in Forest Hills in a "Storybook-style" home built in the 1920's. Her interests include cats, clothing and cooking.
